An
old couple in the cafe order French toast and coffee. The man has tubes in his
nostrils. They've lived here all their lives, but have no idea why the place
is called Canton. They suggest I ask someone in the library, but by the time
I get there it's closed. Later, I see a man walking down the street carrying
a rifle.
